The book presents main concepts, issuses and theories of environmental ethics and relation of it to ethical education. It can serve as a strating point for teachers and implementation of environmental ethics into ethical education at schools at secondary level of education.
Environmental ethics and education
The aim of the publication is to present key theories of environmental ethics (anthropocentrism, biocentrism, ecocentrism...) and issues related to ecological crisis (population growth, biodiversity, environmental (in)justice, GMO, sustainable development,....). It moreover presents ways in which environmental ethics overlaps with themes of ethical education and can be taught at schools. The book serves as a handbook for future or current teachers of ethical education.
