In order to show our students types of love and it's relation to us as individuals, we also should examine how we as individuals treat others and how our affection influences them in different settings. With short historical approach we show ancient types of love and we can translate them to modern terms which will later be discussed.
Love and Relations toward Others
What is Love and how it manifests is the subject of many different types of research and ethics plays an important role in this. Whether it's romantic Love or parental, friendship or marriage, we all experience it differently and examine it in different ways. With our students we should investigate different kinds of Love and their meaning especially when it comes to understanding such relations as beween Me and the Other.

Learning activities
Debate, Socratic Dialogue and classroom discussion in combination with ancient types of Love, translated into modern debate and approach toward different types of Love, their legal issues (Gay marriage or adoption) and societal norms and morality.
Location
This workshop was done as part of Ethics curriculum in high schools in Croatia. The workshop was done in high schools in Vukovar and Dalj with students age 14 - 18.
Time
This workshop can be done in a 45 minutes long class, as they are in Croatia. However, depending on teacher as facilitator, it could be prolonged to 90 minutes, given that many new materials or questions could be presented. The time will always depend on the facilitator and their own judgement which parts of the workshop are most important and the dinamic of the group.
